Balancing renewable energy generation with active agricultural use was a central objective of the Constable Solar Agrivoltaic Project. WSB, through its legacy firm NEO Virtus, provided issued‑for‑construction electrical engineering for the 3.6 MW ground‑mount solar array in Constable, New York.

The electrical design addressed the operational needs of a working agricultural site while meeting utility and code requirements. WSB engineered the complete AC and DC systems, including equipment specification, conductor sizing, protection coordination, and grounding strategies tailored to dual‑use conditions. Layout decisions were informed by the need to maintain crop access, equipment clearance, and long‑term serviceability.

By aligning the electrical design with both energy production goals and day‑to‑day land use, WSB supported a smooth transition from permitting through construction and reduced execution risk during field installation.
