WSB undertook decommissioning two existing lift stations and replacing associated force mains with gravity sewers while maintaining service during construction. Located in the Upper Leon Watershed within the Edwards Aquifer Contributing Zone and the 100-year floodplain, the area includes residential neighborhoods, commercial properties, schools, a cemetery, and Raymond Russell County Park. The site’s karst limestone geology required careful planning and coordination.

WSB provided design services for the decommissioning of the Falcon Center and Woodland Hills Lift Stations and the installation of approximately 19,000 LF of gravity wastewater interceptors, including 14,762 LF by open cut and 4,261 LF by tunneling. The design also included abandonment of 16,600 LF of force mains and relocation of a water line. Extensive coordination was required with TxDOT, local developments, IH-10, and a nearby military base.
