WSB’s Safe Routes to School project at Monticello Pinewood Elementary has made a significant impact on the community. By prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of children and residents we have created safer pathways for students to travel to and from school. This initiative underscores our commitment to enhancing local communities and protecting the youngest members as they
pursue their education.
The community has acknowledged the improvements brought by added safety features, such as better visibility and the ease of using the lights to stop traffic on a busy road. WSB’s ongoing efforts include assessing and improving pedestrian routes, raising awareness about school zone safety and collaborating with local authorities to implement sustainable safety measures.
