WSB partnered with the City of Red Wing to support their EV planning from a public policy perspective. The team led the development of several policies in coordination with the city, in collaboration with the Sustainability and Planning commissions. This work is aimed at implementing their Climate Plan and emphasizes the incorporation of new technology in a way that grows efficiency and equity. There are very few policies regarding electric vehicle charging infrastructure adopted by City Councils, so this is cutting-edge work.
These policies will provide Red Wing a playbook to work from for future decisions on electric vehicle infrastructure, while also providing flexibility as technology advances.
