The Minnesota Department of Transportation’s (MnDOT’s) Minnesota Autonomous Bus Pilot Project evaluated the emerging autonomous bus technology in the context of Midwest weather extremes.
Our Intelligent Transportation Systems team was the prime consultant on the pilot that included a two-phase project that researched vehicle and infrastructure requirements for the safe operation of an autonomous vehicle bus under Minnesota’s cold and snowy winter weather conditions.
