The IH 30, also referred to as “The Canyon” has been reconstructed. Originally an 8-lane urban is now a 12-lane urban divided depressed interstate from IH 35E to IH 45/IH 345 in Dallas County.
Our firm performed geotechnical boring which included pavement coring, piezometer installation/monitoring/abandonment for design analysis and other services. We also provided 3D retaining wall design, roadway design, design survey, constructability review & material testing and other services for the completion of reconstruction.
Schedule conflicts with the development plan interfered at the beginning kickoff but were quickly solved with our firm’s assistance and we were able to provide preliminary retaining wall designs to the client two weeks earlier than planned.
