Through the EPA 128(a) Brownfields Response Program, the Coeur d’Alene Tribe identifies redevelopment opportunities, addresses environmental challenges, and guides investment across the Reservation – helping to prioritize sites and advance projects that support long-term community goals. As technical partner, WSB provides programmatic support to strengthen program capacity and move projects from identification to redevelopment. Our team supports brownfields inventories, site eligibility determinations, EPA coordination, community outreach, ACRES management and reporting, as well as technical services including QAPP development, Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA), remedial design and cost estimating.

To support informed decision-making, WSB developed a GIS-based inventory and prioritization database that enables the Tribe to track sites, evaluate opportunities and direct resources to the highest-priority projects. Together, these efforts support the Coeur d’Alene Tribe with maximizing the impact of the 128(a) Response Program to cleanup brownfields for a wide range of reuse.
