Inc. 5000 2025 List Recognizes WSB Ranking No. 2660

This marks the firm’s first time on the list. 

Minneapolis, Minn— Inc. 5000, the leading media brand and playbook for the entrepreneurs and business leaders shaping our future, today announced that WSB is No. 2660 on the annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in America. Notably, WSB ranked 34 in the engineering category, 40 among honorees in the Minneapolis metro area, and 47 among all Minnesota-based companies on the list. The Inc. 5000 provides a data-driven snapshot of the country’s most successful independent businesses, with past honorees including Microsoft, Meta, Chobani, Under Armour, Timberland, Oracle, and Patagonia.

This year’s Inc. 5000 honorees have demonstrated exceptional growth while navigating economic uncertainty, inflationary pressure, and a fluctuating labor market. Among the top 500 companies on the list, the median three-year revenue growth rate reached 1,552 percent, and those companies have collectively added more than 48,678 jobs to the U.S. economy over the past three years.

Transforming Interstate-4 : Shaping the next chapter of Florida’s Infrastructure

WSB has been selected as one of the prime consultants tasked with improving the Interstate 4 (I-4) Corridor in Central Florida. The project, also known as Moving I-4 Forward, is an ambitious $3.5 billion initiative aimed at alleviating congestion and enhancing the infrastructure of I-4. This major east-west highway is an integral part of Central Florida’s transportation system. Spanning from Tampa to Daytona Beach, I-4 is a critical artery for commerce and tourism, carrying the greatest number of people and vehicles in the region. By providing Construction Engineering and Inspection (CE&I) services, we are playing a pivotal role in the reconstruction and widening of key segments.

Moving I-4 Forward is a testament to Florida’s commitment to addressing ongoing traffic congestion and improving transportation efficiency. When I-4 opened in 1965, it was meant for intrastate and interstate travel. However, the cloverleaf design could not support the current and future traffic of commuters and tourists heading to attractions like Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, International Drive Resort Area, and downtown Orlando. WSB will support several accelerated start projects focused on congestion relief, with a particular emphasis on segments A and B, which span from east of U.S. 27 to east of World Drive. This endeavor not only aims to meet the immediate needs of the traveling public but also lays the groundwork for long-term improvements that will benefit the entire region.

In January 2023, Governor DeSantis announced the Moving Florida Forward Infrastructure Initiative, which will alleviate congestion and prioritize safety. Moving I-4 Forward, a key element of this initiative, will improve traffic operations, enhance connectivity, and improve safety on I-4 while addressing access to interchanges.

This design-build project is a significant milestone for both WSB and the state of Florida. By introducing innovative ideas and resources, the collaborative efforts of the selected firms will result in substantial positive change. The enhancements along the I-4 corridor will provide much-needed relief to commuters, support economic growth, and underscore the state’s dedication to modernizing its infrastructure.

The firm strategically hires Odreman to strengthen leadership in Houston.

Houston, Texas – WSB, a forward-thinking design and consulting firm, today announced that Gabriel Odreman has joined the firm as director of program management in Houston, TX. With over 16 years of experience in civil engineering, construction management, and transportation design, Gabriel brings exceptional expertise and a proven track record of impactful leadership that will strengthen WSB’s presence in Texas.

Gabriel has spent the last seven years managing a $100+ million mobility bond program, overseeing more than 20 infrastructure projects and coordinating with over 30 consultants. His deep understanding of municipal and county projects, coupled with his dedication to client relationships, has solidified him as a trusted leader in the industry. As director of program management, Gabriel will lead a talented team at WSB, further growing the firm’s transportation and design services across Houston and beyond.

With more than 20 years of experience serving the City of Houston, including his tenure as chief operating officer for Houston Public Works, Dargan brings unmatched expertise and a deep understanding of municipal operations to the role.
