Jennifer Bullard has joined WSB as our new Vice President of Construction. With over 20 years of experience at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Jennifer brings valuable expertise and connections across the state. In her new role, she will oversee our construction division in Oklahoma, focusing on expanding construction management services and integrating advanced 3-D model-centric technology. Jennifer’s fresh perspective will help elevate our services and strengthen our investment in the Oklahoma region.
Tumer Akakin is the Director of Materials Engineering at WSB. Based in Burnsville, MN, Tumer leads the Materials department with a focus on innovation and excellence in materials engineering. With a strong background in materials engineering, he brings extensive expertise and leadership to the role, driving forward projects that enhance the company’s capabilities and reputation in the industry.
Brian Hotovy, CPA, brings over 20 years of experience in leading accounting and finance teams, including more than a decade in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. His extensive expertise makes him a valuable asset to WSB, where he focuses on consolidated reporting and developing financial processes to support the firm’s growth. Brian’s role is crucial in enabling WSB’s expansion, both organically and through acquisitions. His knowledge and guidance help shape the firm’s financial strategies, ensuring continued success and scalability. Committed to fostering the development of the accounting division, Brian positions both staff and clients for long-term success.
John Hudspeth oversees all Texas operations for WSB, focusing on expanding the firm’s reach and capabilities. With 29 years at the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), he managed major projects like the $2.7 billion LBJ Freeway reconstruction and held key leadership roles. His extensive background in alternative delivery methods, major infrastructure projects, and building client relationships will be instrumental in driving the firm’s growth while exploring new opportunities in the market, including the support of WSB’s digital delivery efforts.
Tara brings extensive experience in human resources and recruitment, and we are thrilled to have her lead our efforts in these areas. In her role, Tara will oversee our human resources strategy, including talent acquisition, employee development, and organizational culture. She will work closely with our leadership team to ensure our practices support our mission and business objectives. Tara will also focus on enhancing staff engagement and retention, creating a positive and inclusive work environment.
Josh Maus joins WSB as the vice president of traffic modeling and planning, where he will oversee traffic modeling for all regions and lead transportation planning efforts in the Midwest. With nearly 25 years of experience in the AEC industry, Josh brings extensive expertise in traffic operations and analysis. His background in the private sector and contributions to significant projects in Minnesota make him a valuable asset to WSB. Josh is committed to fostering collaboration and enhancing the capabilities of WSB’s traffic modeling and planning divisions.
Formerly the CEO of Meshek & Associates, LLC, Brandon brings a strategic vision and a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, making him a valuable addition to our firm. Known for his leadership and innovative approaches to flood mitigation, stormwater quality, and the application of new technologies to improve efficiency, Brandon is set to elevate WSB’s environmental footprint throughout the U.S. His extensive experience in environmental sciences and unmatched leadership will play a pivotal role in expanding our environmental services nationwide, while working across service lines to support our clients’ infrastructure needs.
Corey is director of strategy and digital construction management. His role will help bridge the gap between traditional construction management practices and modern digital approaches. Ensuring that WSB continues to drive efficiency in the work we do and innovation throughout the company.
Shawn is the Director of Municipal Services, operating from our Denver office. With a robust background spanning nearly 30 years, Shawn has a comprehensive blend of experience in both the public and private sectors across Colorado and Texas. His previous roles as a City Engineer and Director of Public Works have seen him uplift communities nationwide. Shawn is not only recognized for his significant contributions in these roles, but also for his active participation in professional circles. He has served as the President of the APWA Texas Chapter and currently holds a board position with the APWA Colorado Chapter. At WSB, Shawn is dedicated to expanding the firm’s services to municipalities in Colorado, focusing on fostering and enhancing relationships with public agencies in the state and other regions familiar to both him and WSB.
Eddie Hernandez, Director of Contract Administration, is a Professional Engineer with over 17 years of experience in the transportation industry. Specializing in construction management, pavement engineering, and contract administration, he currently oversees several FDOT service contracts in South Florida. His expertise is grounded in a decade-long tenure at Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, where he was pivotal in asphalt operations and pavement evaluation. Recognized for his contributions, Eddie has received several accolades including the FTE Rising Star and Sustained Exceptional Performance Awards. His leadership extends across various CEI projects, enhancing roadway and traffic design within FDOT District 4.
