WSB, Leading National Design and Consulting Firm, Announces Acquisition of CAS Consulting & Services

CAS STRENGTHENS WSB’S WATER/WASTEWATER AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT OFFERINGS
MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. — WSB LLC (“WSB”), one of the nation’s fastest growing infrastructure engineering and consulting firms, today announced the acquisition of CAS Consulting & Services, Inc. (“CAS”), a specialized civil engineering firm based in Austin, Texas. The strategic addition of CAS will strengthen WSB’s service offerings and presence in Texas and the southwestern United States.
“WSB continues to grow our national presence with the addition of CAS,” said Bret Weiss, WSB’s president and chief executive officer. “Texas remains a strategic market for infrastructure engineering, and CAS brings deep expertise, strong client relationships, and a culture that aligns with our own. Their entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to excellence make them an ideal partner. We’re excited to build on their success and introduce new services that will enhance the value we deliver together.”
The acquisition of CAS brings four offices and 38 employees into WSB. Combined, WSB now operates 50 offices with over 1,500 employees nationwide to serve its clients across the government, commercial and energy markets.
“Joining WSB marks an exciting new chapter for CAS,” said Channy Soeur, CAS’s president. “From the beginning, our mission has been to deliver excellence and be a trusted partner to our clients. WSB shares that same commitment to quality, innovation, and client service. Together, we’ll expand our capabilities and continue to grow our presence in Texas and across the southwest—bringing even more value to the communities we serve.”
WSB and CAS will work together to develop a single go-to-market approach as WSB in the coming months. This represents WSB’s fourth acquisition in the last two years. In September 2023, the firm acquired Oklahoma-based EST, a 350-person transportation infrastructure engineering firm and in February 2024, WSB acquired Florida-based AE Engineering, an 180-person construction, engineering and inspection (CE&I) firm. Last November, WSB acquired Tulsa-based Meshek, a 50-person firm specializing in hydrologic and hydraulic engineering, as well as civil and roadway design and planning expertise.
WSB operates as a portfolio company of GHK Capital Partners LP (“GHK”). GHK is a leading middle-market private equity firm focused on making control investments in industrial companies across North America. For more information about GHK, visit www.GHK.com
