As transportation systems become increasingly connected and data-driven, tollway organizations face growing demands related to operational efficiency, revenue optimization, system performance, and technology integration. WSB’s Tollways service line is designed to help clients navigate these challenges by combining engineering, intelligent transportation systems, digital construction, asset management, and operational expertise.

“Tollways are a strategic growth market for WSB and a natural extension of our commitment to delivering innovative infrastructure solutions,” said Jon Chiglo, chief operating officer. “The transportation industry is evolving rapidly, and clients need partners that can connect infrastructure, technology, and operations to create smarter, safer, and more efficient systems. By launching this service line and welcoming Roland Che to our team, we are strengthening our ability to help clients meet today’s needs while preparing for the future of mobility.”

Bonilla will lead the firm’s tollways strategy and market development efforts, focusing on opportunities that leverage connected roadway technologies, intelligent transportation systems, digital platforms, and integrated safety and security solutions. He brings more than 30 years of information technology and mobility experience and has helped agencies across the United States implement, deploy, and operate advanced transportation programs.

“Successful tollway programs require more than traditional infrastructure expertise,” said Bonilla, vice president, tollways at WSB. “Owners and operators are looking for solutions that connect technology, operations, data, and decision-making. WSB brings together the multidisciplinary capabilities needed to help clients improve performance, enhance the user experience, and maximize the long-term value of their transportation assets.”

The firm’s initial tollways focus will include markets in Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, and the Southeast, where WSB already maintains strong transportation relationships and experience. The service line complements the firm’s existing transportation, traffic, intelligent transportation systems, technology, and digital delivery capabilities while creating new opportunities for integrated project delivery.
