WSB announces new role, director of emergency management

Allison Whitsitt named as leader of expanded emergency management service.

Tulsa, Okla. – WSB, a forward-thinking design and consulting firm, today announced the promotion of Allison Whitsitt to director of emergency management. This marks the launch of an expanded service area dedicated to solving the evolving challenges communities face before, during and after a disaster. Under Whitsitt’s guidance, our new service line will provide communities an opportunity to prepare, respond and recover quicker, supported by a team of emergency management professionals with profound understanding of federal requirements and local needs.
With an extensive background in disaster coordination and hazard mitigation, Whitsitt brings deep expertise and a proven track record to her new role. As director, she will oversee both the preparedness & mitigation and response & recovery services, guiding strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening community resilience, streamlining disaster response, and expanding WSB’s offerings to clients nationwide.

Whitsitt previously served as the northeast regional coordinator for the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, and most recently was a planning manager in the Oklahoma region at WSB. Her strategic insight, technical expertise and commitment to empowering communities have positioned her as a trusted leader in emergency management.

The expanded Emergency Management service area will provide a comprehensive suite of offerings, including hazard mitigation planning, emergency operations plans, public assistance project support, FEMA 406 mitigation, and technology-driven disaster response solutions.
