We are thrilled to have contributed to the Orion Solar Belt project, a 900 MWdc solar power plant now operational in Texas. Our team provided survey, civil, hydrology, pile plan design, public road improvement design, and construction support services for this initiative.
As Google’s largest solar investment, the Orion Solar Belt project powers their data centers in Ellis County, supporting their goal of carbon-free energy by 2030. It included Google as a primary off-taker and complied with the domestic content provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act, securing a 10% investment tax credit. The project used 1.3 million American-made solar modules from First Solar, domestic steel from Gerdau Steel, and U.S. components from Nextracker Inc.
