I-45 Project

WSB is making ramp improvements on I-45. Previously WSB conducted a feasibility study for the ramp improvements along I-45 between Hardy Toll Road and Woodlands Parkway. Traffic data collection, operational analysis, and safety analysis were evaluated in the study. The I-45 consists of 3 consecutive multi-level interchanges which inevitably produce a major congestion of traffic. The $180 million dollar project will include the design and construction of collector-distributor roadways and braided ramps which will ease the flow of traffic. WSB will administer schematic design, environmental assessment, traffic analysis, Interstate Access Justification Request (IAJR), and final design.
