Dothan Utilities – Westgate Tank Rehabilitation at Water World

Dothan Utilities set out to rehabilitate the Westgate Tank at Water World and have it ready before Christmas. WSB, through its legacy firm Poly, Inc., served as lead design engineer for the project.

The team pressure washed the tank’s exterior, painted the bowl and roof, and created artwork for the Water World logo, which was painted on the tank in three places. WSB also designed the electrical system for LED lighting on the tank’s columns, center pillar and bowl. The lighting is programmable, so the display can switch quickly between light schemes and sync with music. By handling design, bid administration and construction management, the team finished the project on a tight schedule, and the tank was ready before Christmas.
