Matias Mendez Larrain, PE, Ph.D

Mendez Larrain serves as Director of Geotechnical and Pavement Services at WSB, where he leads operations in geotechnical exploration, materials testing, and pavement engineering for transportation and infrastructure projects nationwide. With more than a decade of experience, he brings expertise in soil analysis, foundation and pavement design, and material performance evaluation. An accomplished researcher with more than 20 publications in materials science and geotechnical engineering, Mendez Larrain combines academic insight with practical field experience to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he advances WSB’s commitment to technical excellence and sustainable infrastructure development.
