City of Niceville – Sidewalk Improvements

The City of Niceville set out to become a more walkable, livable community and to make it safer and easier for residents to get around. WSB, through its legacy firm Poly, Inc., partnered with the City on a citywide sidewalk improvement project.

The project added more than 5 miles of concrete and asphalt sidewalks along major roads and in residential areas, parks and school zones. The new sidewalks make the whole city more pedestrian-friendly and improve safety around several schools. The project also removed and replaced failing asphalt cul-de-sacs and a section of concrete roadway, and added a turn lane at Rocky Bayou Drive to improve traffic flow and safety.
