In Jacksonville, FL LaSalle street is receiving major street drainage improvements. Previously the street had been flooding causing a safety and roadway issue on LaSalle Street and the intersection of LaSalle Street and San Marco Boulevard. The surrounding neighborhood is also affected with the flooding and current stormwater system. The project is a Design-Build contract to effectively combine design and construction under one contract. This project is one part of a series that will continue to make improvements to the stormwater collection system in the area.

A new pump station will be constructed, and it will replace the existing storm drainage system within Jacksonville’s historic San Marco neighborhood. This will reduce the current stormwater flooding on LaSalle Street. The improvements to the collection system include installation of new pipes, the addition of manholes, and a backflow preventer at the St. Johns River. LaSalle street drainage improvements will be done in 2024.
