What’s the most exciting change you’ve seen at WSB?

The growth of our department overnight, the new resources we have available to us, and the new people to collaborate with to help our clients and improve the world.

What project(s) are you most proud to have worked on?

Tulsa County Flood Buyout – We have currently purchased 15+ structures in the floodplain and moved be to safety.

What stands out to you about WSB’s culture and values?

Collaboration. WSB has a culture of working together not against each other. I love that we are always finding ways to incorporate each other into projects and celebrating our success together.

Who is someone you’ve worked with at WSB that has really inspired or influenced you?

Allison Whitsitt – Her commitment to helping communities be strong in times of crisis and plan for disaster is a testament to the kind of person she is.

If you could say one thing to all of our clients as we celebrate this milestone, what would it be?

I have a lot of clients and subconsultants that ask me “how the transition is going.” I always tell them if there was ever a company that was meant to continue on the legacy of Meshek and Associates, WSB is that company. I feel at home here, there was not ever a point I didn’t feel at home.

What keeps you excited about working here?

Having a company that believe in me, wants to see me succeed, and wants to help others.

Even if you’re new to WSB, can you share about a moment that made you feel like “I belong here”?

The OK ROW department had some struggles for a bit and we were trying to get things in order. Rick Johnson made sure to check in with me weekly, if not on a teams call but via text. Even with his crazy schedule he still makes sure to take the time to sit down and talk to me. We may only talk about soccer or outdoor activities but he takes time to be present. That leadership made me feel like I was wanted and belong with WSB.

What does being a part of a company celebrating 30 years mean to you?

Longevity symbolizes the impact and trust that WSB has brought to communities across the states. That is something Meshek was known for here in Oklahoma, being a trusted partner. I am thrilled to be continuing that.

What’s a WSB inside joke, phrase, or tradition that only people who work here would understand?

SYNERGY!
