Municipal Well No. 12, Rosemount

Rosemount is undergoing significant growth, which has resulted in increased water usage and the need for additional wells and water systems. One such project included the siting, design and construction of Municipal Production Well No. 12 for the City of Rosemount. WSB conducted a siting study, coordinated the test well, designed the well, well house and appurtenances and performed construction management. WSB obtained significant input from the City to ensure that the final production well and well house met the City’s needs and contained needed maintenance and SCADA features.

Key features of the well include:

• 475 feet deep in the Jordan formation
• Capacity of 1300 gpm
• 150 Hp Vertical Turbine Line Shaft Pump
• Chlorine, fluoride, and polyphosphate addition in the well house
• Raw water lines to a future water treatment plant were taken into consideration
• Stand-by power generation

The project is on-line and was completed on time and within budget.
