Paumen Development EAW, Hanover

The City of Hanover was petitioned to conduct an EAW on five separate residential and commercial development sites in the City that were being proposed by one developer. The developments alone did not trigger an EAW, but the cumulative impact was a concern to the City and its residents. WSB staff assisted the City in reviewing the citizen petition and completing the environmental review process. The EAW analyzed the impact of storm water runoff on the adjacent Crow River, as well as the impact of the development on sensitive wildlife in the area. WSB also completed a traffic analysis and assessment of the impact on municipal services. As a result of the EAW, additional protection measures were implemented by the City Council during the development review process.
