CSAH 14 Reconstruction, Hennepin County

The $7.0 million improvement consists of expansion and improvement of a two-mile section of CSAH 14 (Zane Avenue and Douglas Drive) from TH 610 to 109th Avenue North in the Cities of Brooklyn Park and Champlin. The improvement includes the reconstruction of the existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane facility with turn lanes and reconstruction of the traffic signal system at 109th Avenue North. The project also includes landscaping, a pedestrian bicycle trail and sidewalk adjacent to the roadway, and an underpass at 103rd Avenue. WSB’s responsibilities for this project included the preliminary and detail design of the project. Detail design of the project included:

• Development of a storm sewer system along the corridor
• Details for the pedestrian underpass
• Traffic signal design plans
• Extensive roadway design plans

This project was coordinated with the Cities of Champlin, Brooklyn Park, Hennepin County, and Mn/DOT.
