Grand Meadow Wind Project, Mower County
WSB’s Environmental Review Team and Survey Group provided services to enXco Development Corporation to develop a site permit application, wetland and habitat review, and ALTA surveys for the Grand Meadow Wind project in

The site permit application prepared by WSB summarized environmental impacts and mitigation measures. A separate wetland and habitat study was also completed by WSB’s environmental scientists. This information assisted in the placement of the wind turbines to avoid and minimize impact the surrounding area. A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) for a 45-square-mile site was also completed.
ALTA surveys were prepared for all of the properties where turbines will be located. These surveys contained the following information:
- Current digital ortho photos
- Parcel property boundaries
- Title information
- Existing easements
- Wind lease agreement areas
- Wind turbine locations
- Proposed access roads
- Minimum setback requirements
- Proposed transmission and fiber optic cable routes
The survey field work consisted of:
- Public Land Survey (PLS) corner verification and re-monumentation
- Micro-sighting of the wind turbines
- Construction surveys
- Asbuilt surveys
