Hudson Road Improvements, Woodbury

The City of Woodbury reconstructed Hudson Road from Landau Drive to 3,000 feet east. The reconstruction area converted the existing roadway from a two-lane rural section road to an urban section with turn lanes, storm sewer, and a pedestrian trail along the south side.

WSB & Associates, Inc. was retained by the City of Woodbury to provide right-of-way services on nine parcels. Our services included:

• Securing review appraisals
• Meetings with landowners to discuss the project and the impacts to their properties
• Presentation to landowners of formal offers
• Negotiations with affected property owners
• Administrative settlements on two parcels

Additional project information:

• Acquisition was completed in just over three months
• All parcels acquired through direct purchase – no condemnation needed despite short timeline and assessments
• All properties commercial or absentee (out of state) landowners
