TH 95 Bridge Project

North Branch, MN

WSB & Associates, Inc. was retained by the City of North Branch to develop a design for the improvement of TH 95 at I-35 in the City of North Branch, Chisago County. The improvements included construction of a new bridge over I-35,

reconstruction of TH 95 from Tanger Drive to Oakview Avenue (approx. 0.35 miles) from a two-lane to a four-lane roadway with turn lanes, ramp reconstruction and revised signal systems. The project also included a linear pathway system as part of the pedestrian enhancements and safety improvements. The bridge was constructed in two stages to allow TH 95 to remain open throughout construction.

WSB’s services included the concept development, design of a Mn/DOT staff approved layout, right of way, environmental documentation, and assistance to the City in obtaining funding. The City received layout approval from Mn/DOT in October of 2006. The project was coordinated with the City of North Branch and Mn/DOT.

During the construction, WSB and our team partner provided contract administration, construction inspection, materials testing, traffic control compliance, project certification, and project finalization.
