WSB Announces Staff Appointments

WSB is pleased to announce staff appointments to the Ownership, Associate, and Technical Associate Groups. These appointments demonstrate WSB’s continued commitment to build on existing success and support the increasing

challenges and efficiencies of the engineering and environmental industry.

Recognized for their extraordinary leadership abilities and contributions toward WSB’s success, Andrea Moffatt and Jupe Hale have been jointly appointed to the Ownership Group. Both Andi and Jupe continually dedicate themselves to improving and securing infrastructure engineering and environmental projects.

Andrea’s education and wide range of experience in environmental management, her strong communication and project management skill set, and ability to really understand what our clients need while delivering high quality services to them, makes her deserving of being promoted to the Ownership Group.

Jupe’s focus has been the design of transportation projects for municipal and county clients. He has developed positive working relationships with several key clients while working on a variety of projects within this service sector. These clients include Golden Valley, Bloomington, Richfield, and Roseville. Jupe is able to build the client’s confidence in his and the company’s capabilities to deliver a quality project. He is also excellent at developing strong relationships with the clients’ staff that is critical to positive resolutions of project issues that do arise. Jupe is very creative in preparing winning proposals for projects and has helped refine and improve WSB’s proposals, which has led to greater success in our proposal efforts. His efforts have led to winning projects such as the Mall of America Pedestrian Bridge in Bloomington, the Boone and TH 55 Intersection Improvements in Golden Valley, the Twin Lakes Infrastructure Improvements in Roseville, the 84th Street Sanitary Sewer and Road Reconstruction in Bloomington, and Construction Services for the 66th Street and Richfield Parkway Roundabout in Richfield.

Appointed to the Associates Group are John Mackiewicz and Jack Forslund. John and Jack eagerly support company initiatives and development of new service areas, while sharing enthusiasm for the company, staff, and clients.

John has extensive experience and expertise in GIS. He possesses an outstanding ability to train, manage, and keep his staff billable while keeping the group’s projects on time and within budget. These reasons coupled with his on-going effort to communicate and sell the benefits of these services to our clients, has without question, earned him the right to be promoted to Associate.

Jack came to WSB from another firm to help build our transportation planning capabilities. He has been very successful in helping our firm gain recognition in the transportation planning area. Jack is currently managing the Babbitt to Hoyt Lakes EIS, which is a $2.5 million dollar contract with St. Louis County. He played a major role in winning this project along with other staff members from WSB. Jack also has excellent working relationships with Anoka County and was successful in winning the update of the Anoka County Transportation model. He was successful in winning and completing the City of Woodbury Transportation Plan. Jack has worked successfully with Mn/DOT Metro planning staff in the past and the relationship has been important to building our credibility with Mn/DOT

for doing transportation planning work. He was also successful in getting WSB added to the Transportation Planning Pool of Consultants in Minneapolis.

While forming the Technical Associates Group, WSB’s Board of Directors recognized individuals who have distinguished themselves technically and developed a reliable reputation with our clients. The first staff members appointed to the Technical Associates Group include Chuck Kochmann, Dave Vincent, Jeff Michniewicz, Merl Jewell, Mike Malszycki, Mike Molitor, Pete Helder, Phil Tipka, Rick Hauser, Scott Niemann, Ted Witkowski, and Tim Cartony.

Bret Weiss, President says, “The appointed individuals consistently play key roles in helping advance WSB’s reputation as a leader in the industry.”
