WSB Helps Rebuild Local Home

WSB staff members took part in National Rebuilding Day on April 30. Across the country, Rebuilding Together affiliates partnered with volunteers to make critical home repairs for thousands of homeowners in need. Rebuilding Together Twin Cities is completed repairs for 15 low-income homeowners in Minneapolis. Repairs focused on ensuring the homeowners could live independently in homes that are safe and warm.

Our capable, willing staff helped Belinda and her husband, Frank make much-needed improvements to their home in the McKinley neighborhood. They had lived in their home for more than 16 years. Unfortunately, Belinda and Frank had fallen on hard times. Belinda suffered a stroke and had to have brain surgery, which left her with a disability and the inability to work. Frank lost his job and provided full-time care for his wife.
The work scope for the day included replacement of sidewalk pavers, creation of a 7-yard sidewalk system, repairs to storm windows, replacement of basement windows, and front entry door replacement.
