Lyndale Avenue Bridge is Open to Traffic

The City of Richfield, City of Bloomington, and Mn/DOT are pleased to announce that the new Lyndale Avenue Bridge is now open to traffic.

The bridge opened late Saturday afternoon on October 31, 2009. The bridge is completed except for a few minor items that do not affect the traffic flow on the bridge.

Approximately 300 people attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony that took place on Friday, October 30. United States Senator Amy Klobuchar, Mn/DOT Commissioner of Transportation Tom Sorel, and Minnesota State Representative Paul Thissen were on hand to speak about the success of the project and the hard work and outstanding effort by all in involved. Richfield Mayor Debbie Goettel was Master of Ceremonies.
