Bret Weiss Speaks at Commencement
for U of M Department of Civil Engineering

On May 6, WSB’s President, Bret Weiss, was honored to address 94 spring semester graduates of the U of M Department of Civil Engineering.

Bret, a 1987 graduate of the department, began his speech by sharing life lessons he learned while playing football for legendary Gopher coach Lou Holtz. He then advised students to avoid remaining in jobs merely because they’re comfortable, but rather, to seek opportunities and experiences that match their growing career ambitions.

The ceremony, held outside the Civil Engineering Building, was attended by approximately 300 students, faculty, and family members.
