Hutton Elected MPWA Secretary/Treasurer

Dave Hutton, WSB Vice President, was recently elected Secretary/Treasurer for the Minnesota Public Works Association (MPWA).

The Minnesota Chapter of the American Public Works Association is consistently one of the leading chapters in the country and has developed a strong national presence in expanding the mission and goals of all public works professionals, including expanding our continuing education, outreach and training needs, innovation and technology advances, public policy discussion, emergency responsiveness, and membership expansion. Dave is excited to be part of this effort. "I look forward to sustaining our strong national reputation while continuing to serve our members locally, and to be a part of the continued growth of the Minnesota Public Works Association.”

Customarily, Dave will become Vice President in 2009 and will move to the position of President in 2010. MPWA is the local chapter of The American Public Works Association (APWA) which was formally established in 1937 through the merger of the American Society of Municipal Engineers (ASME) and the International Association of Public Works Officials (IAPWO).
