The contractor will be finishing the remaining site restoration and landscaping over the next three weeks. Mainly concentrating there efforts between Vera Street and French Lake Road. The new Tilden Avenue connection will remain closed to allow this work to be completed without traffic to minimize conflicts between construction equipment and vehicles.

On July 1, 2008, the City of Champlin, Hennepin County, and the Metropolitan Council hosted a corridor celebration to commemorate the completion of the Hayden Lake Road project and the imminent opening of the Tilden Avenue bridge. It was held on the Tilden Avenue bridge between Hayden Lake Road and French Lake Road from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Treats and beverages along with games for the kids were provided along with a brief ceremony at 6:30 p.m.
